Our First Farm to Table Event was Absolutely Amazing!

October 21st was a BIG day for our little bitty farm; we hosted our first Farm to Table event! We welcomed over fifty people to the farm for an evening of fine dining and music. There was a sense of magic during the event, but I can’t explain it. The air was full of laughter and a sense of camaraderie.   The flower gardens were bright and happy, with butterflies flitting about.

Even more importantly, the greenhouses yielded up leafy greens, crunchy root vegetables, and gorgeous purple-and-white eggplant, all to be served that very evening. Nearby, music from the Olive Green Duo set the mood with their laid-back acoustic style. The farm was full of abundance and beauty. Maybe it was just the joy of sharing this farm that we love, but whatever it was – this farm to table dinner was an amazing experience.

Seasonal and Local Food made for a Scrumptious Farm to Table Meal

The menu was four courses including Eggplant Caponata, Hen in the Greens, Prairie Pie, and Okie Apple Fritters with chantilly cream, all created by our extraordinary chef Luke Fry of Fryed House, and his crew. Everything on the menu was from sourced local farms, including our own, and much of it was harvested that morning.

All of this fresh and amazing food was cooked outside and enjoyed with that sweet evening breeze and spectacular sunset. An amazing evening of good food, good music, and good company! We can’t wait to do it again!
