While we use responsible and sustainable practices, we have not pursued Organic Certification.
Tanglefoot uses an Integrated Pest Managment System, including beneficial insects, physical barriers such as insect netting, plant-derived organic pesticides such as Neem Oil or BT, along with scouting and hand-removal of pests.
Our fertilizers are Alfalfa Pellets, and Gardentone Organic Fertilizer, along with our own compost.
While vegetable production is our primary goal, we also grow cut flowers and various herbs. We have eggs for sale when the hens are laying, and we offer Homemade Jams, Jellies, Pickles and Salsas. We also offer a limited amount of Goat Milk and other dairy products which can be purchased at the Farm.
We offer farm tours for educational purposes, and on occasion have special events where the farm is open to ticket holders. At this time, visits to the farm are by appointment only.
